it's something you never get over, but it's best to just forgive it, not for his sake or because he did nothing wrong, but to free yourself. we don't forgive because we still feel our partner owes us an apology or needs to feel bad about the hurt he caused us, but in reality we are expecting from someone who is not willing to be sorry, who feels they were justified. to set ourselves free we just forgive, by expecting nothing more from this person.to seek revenge just hurts you not the other person. revenge just backfires on you.

I believe one never truely gets over being cheated on by a spouse. However two wrongs do not make a right and by cheating herself to get even all she is doing is sending a message to her spouse "Look I am wanted as well". Sad. Because when one cheats the only person they are cheating is themselves. When one loses faith and trust in their spouse I do not bel;ieve anything can be done to make that person truely trust again.

even if you do it, your hurt won't go away. Hurt only goes away when you accept the fact that your dream and reality does not match, and that your esteem of yourself is gone. The sooner you act to move on the better, time alone will not heal it, action does. You need to move out of your environment, and be a different person, or have different stimuli coming into your brain, the sooner that happens the sooner you get out of the emotional hole you are in now.

If you've already attempted revenge by cheating then you will never completely get over it

that all depends on how much control you are willing to let him have over you. I think you should not give him the satisfaction of your pain, in regards to his betrayal. Hes a loser, just like my husband who i walked in on with another woman in bed naked. Can you believe this, he says he hasn't cheated, because they did not have intercourse! what a loser!

I've been remarried for over four years and it still hurts me when I think about what my ex husband did. I don't know how long it will take for you, but I'm still not done.
