Well, Scottish men do not often wear kilts. It's mostly for ceremonies and stuff like that.
It's just cultural. In ancient Rome, soldiers used to wear skirts at one point.
Did you know that thongs were actually invented for men? Now, if a man undressed in front of me and was wearing a thong, I'm not sure I wouldn't laugh! As I said, it's just cultural!

Well, you can. I've seen a guy do that at a club before. Just a white guy, no kilt, no Middle Eastern garb, just a plain skirt. Looked fine actually. It's not like it was some frilly bimbo garb.
It's a good question.

I suppose the question is, do you WANT to wear skirts and dresses? I'm female and I find skirts and dresses too exposing myself which is why I wear pants or shorts. In short it's a social faux pau for men to wear dresses. But there are plenty of cross dressers out there, I say if you want to try it, go for it.

Well it's just as simple as this. Men weren't made to fit into skirts and dressed because of there leg hair.) It's what makes women suffisticated and gives them confidence but with men they rarely have that kind of idea. In scotland plp have tradtions we have some in America right?

Its a cultural thing. My brother in law used to wear skirts just to subvert the dominant paraidgm in college. He doesn't now but I always respected him for wearing one 'cause he didn't care what anyone thought!
