well i got the main part in the play. I loooove to act!!! I act in the school play but i dint take classes. i think personally that actually acting is going to be your best bet rather then taking classes. its the same thing with dancing would you rather writing on a piece of paper how you would dance or would you learn better by actually dancing? they can teach you but will you really be acting? Being on stage and memorize lines( for me it's 84) and working with actors is better then somebody giving speeches. i would be
in school plays and musical theaters and just work my way up to Broadway. but i think that you should be in a play or production and then while doing that take classes. start the classes if you don't like it then stop. don't ask people what they think you need to do it yourself. good luck. hope to see you in the movies!!!!
take risks and dream!!!!!!!! there is a high school in New jersey that you can major and have a talant for. it is called GCIT. I THINK IT STANDS FOR THE GIFTED THE CREATIVE THE INTELLIGENT AND THE TALENTED. you can go there for drama, dancing, medical, and cooking. try googling it?? once again GOOD LUCK!!!!!

1. It does improve your skills.

2. If you love acting, it's fun. It's work though, so there'll be times of frustration, but it's overall a rewarding and fun experience.

3. None that I've encountered have helped find agents. That's not their job, their job is to get you ready and send you on your way.

like everything else, of course it improves your skill. as for fun, it depends on how commited you are and how you instructor is. some institutions will find you a starter agent, but most of the time they just give you a list and let you take care of the rest.

Don't take acting classes until you take typing classes. And also acting and media (films) isn't all it's cracked up to be!
