No one can know the unknown except God Almighty himself.
Scientists can speculate as to....???
Other than not knowing how magnetism completely fits into the Grand Unifying Theory (GUT), it's hard to say what scientists "don't" know.

Good question. Is it a loaded one, and you know the answer?

they know that if you super cool a magnet it will oscillate and levitate
they know that salt lowers the freezing temperature of water, they know that the north and south pole are frozen...yea I know this is not directly answering your question but it relates to the understanding of magnetism
