I truly believe that the goverment put pressure to lower the price of gas right before elections. Its because the republicans want to look good so they can get voted in office. Watch how the gas prices will soar high after the elections are over !

1) If Bush could do that, they never would have been so high.
2) If oil cos could set prices, they would always be high.

I doubt it, I can't see any way they could do this and possibly conceal it, the bush admin has so many leaks already, I can't see how they could think they would get away with it.
