by the way, for you people that said the phoenix lights were birds lit up by street lights, why did they hover and blink on and off and went only like 10 mph and were brightly lit. and for the people that still don't think they were real, what do you think they were? we might have the technology from area 51 but i don't think we have built anything like this yet. it was about 2 miles long, went extremely slow, hovered, dissapeard and reapeared, and then lots said that it zoomed off at about 20,000 mph! and it's still not identified to this day. so you think that we would have identified it by that time to now? and my mom saw it herself at a store but didn't think of what it was at the time. she still doesn't believe in aliens. and don't even bring up the flare topic! i don't think flares move and hover. oh yeah lots of people also said it didn't make any noise but seemed to pull on the ground. maybe an anti-
gravity ufo?

and i think they're curious just like we are and they want to learn about us and we are still advanced to them but not as much as them. they know that we have jets that can go 2,300 mph and a-bombs and h-bombs (which are 10 times more powerful than an a-bomb) electricity, radar, guns and other weapons, rockets, and lots and lots of other technology. and they want to learn about how we live, other animals, maybe our DNA, and our own technology. if we could go to another planet wouldn't you think we would want to find out about them too? and if your thinking" why didn't they contact us yet?" is because they know that we are agressive and they don't want us to hate them because most people don't believe in them so they'll think it's some kind of secret russain plane or something so they leave us alone and "supposedly only come in contact with the government. and they keep it to themelves because they probably do sme knd of deals with thm. i dont know what we would want with them though.

and commen sense would make you think that there are many many many other galaxies, suns, planets out there besides us. so stop being selfish and thinking that we are the only advanced things in space. why do you think god made such a humongous universe with lots of galaxies and planets and other things? and if you don't believe in god then still, why is space so huge and filled with many other things?

So far we've seen no verifiable evidence of other sentient species. That said, I believe with some certainty that somewhere in our galaxy at some past, present, or future time, a sentient species did/does/will exist.

Why haven't we heard from them?

Perhaps they are not technologically advanced to be heard. They may be mastering stone knives right now, or experiencing their own Rennaisance.

Perhaps they are here right now. Any species sufficiently advanced to travel interstellar distances would be able to hide or masquerade with ease. That Boeing 737 that flew by may be a surveillance craft.

Perhaps they are so far away they will never notice us and vice versa.

Perhaps they existed a million years ago and died out.

Perhaps they will exist a million years from now.

It is really impossible to know for sure.

The Drake Equation suggests that there is sentient life out there. The Fermi Paradox casts doubt. Play around with the calculation form at the second link and see what you think.

I guess I would believe if all the news programs showed live video of the president meeting one. All the different news media having the same story. But a light in the sky that you say was a space ship going 20,000 MPH and other people said was a bird or a star, or a clearly fake picture of an alien playing golf with the president in the Enquirer won't do it for me.

There is no conclusive evidence for the existence of aliens, and no evidence to prove that they don't exist.

Statistically, you can prove that they must exist or that they cannot exist.

However, they do seem to have an unerring nose for abducting nutters, which is impressive. They also have a surprising respect for national boundaries. Aliens from Russia look different to aliens from the US. Black triangles favour Belgian airspace (or they like waffles and chocolate).

The other fascinating thing is that aliens tend to look like the aliens in the latest movie blockbuster. Either Hollywood knows something that they are not telling us, or many abductees lead rich imaginative lives.

Many of the Proto-Humans are Xenophobic. They would be threatened if a superior, or more highly evolved, species showed up. This would threaten their "special relationship" with their silly made-up gods, whom they believe created Humans to be the highest form of life that is just below the level of being gods. There are many more highly evolved species in this galaxy and because life is so plentiful here, we assume it is so throughout the universe. Over the centuries, your planet was a curious place to visit once or twice and was not considered very interesting . Sure, your wars showed us how undeveloped you are as a species. Your infantile,(in cosmic terms) dependence on god concepts does not bode well for you and neither does your penchant to breed beyond your planet's ability to sustain you. We are now showing an interest in you because it is not often that we get to observe a species commit suicide. You are so close to maturing as a sentient species and it will be a shame to see you kill yourselves. There are just not enough of you becoming rational enough to force the issue. You let the least among you determine your fate, so be it.

We assume aliens will be like us only better. We give them attributes of an ideal human which indicate that they are an invention of humans who wish for better things.Aliens are all gray so there is no racism based on skin color. They have big heads so they must be smart and eat enough fiber. They are bald and naked so nice shoes and big breasts will get you nowhere. They are short and weak looking so they do not have soccer riots. They are shy but curious like children so we need to help them out.Greek mythology had gods taunting humans for amusement from upon high. The anus is a strange place psychologically so people who bring it up too often need understanding and hot soup.

It's not surprising that many people don't believe in Aliens, given the number of hoaxes that have been busted and the number of experts that have spoken against the likelihood of such occurrences.

If there were alien beings visiting earth they would be much smarter and more advanced than we are just to get here, since we can't get to their homeland. Why in the world would they want anything from us, we people who would appear as undeveloped mentally to them as chickens seem to us? Unless they need a new food source, people from planet Earth.

Nice question.
First off, remember, it's impossible to prove a negative....if they never show up, does that make them non-existant? No. They can still be out there, but we may never see em....see my point? Add to this religous bias, and you have your current situation....we see stuff, we report it, it gets caned.....personally I think if we had in fact ever been visited, it would not have been so secret....And definately forget the "anal probes" ......anyone capitable of visiting us is going to be far more adept in science....not to discourage you, but quite honestly, I think they just have not gotten here yet....

Yeah, well not like everyone thinks what they are to be (green martians, UFOs, ect.) There has to be life out there besides us. To the other lives out there wondering the same about us... If you really look into and research the possibilities of life out there, you will learn that it would be impossible not to. For example: There are over 30 sextillion stars (suns) in the universe, and our sun is only 1 of them......

all of us does not know if there really exist

why do you really believe there are aliens?

why do you believe aliens exist if you have not seen one?

some people say.....to see is to believe!

but it is up to you! if you want to think that there exist

because some people are just illuminating our mind just to be famous.

some of it is our high imagination because of the pictures or videos that we see

some pictures and videos are just fake they cheat it.

some are just reflection , some are because of the lighting effects

besides there is no evidence

hope this will help you... hope you will answer your own questions.

but it is good that you are really inquisitive!!!

good job
