Hi! Yes of course! Men care about how they look and that's a good thing. My boys,3 of them all wore concealer on pimples etc. and some foundation in their teens and older. They are very manly and not gay. They always had tons of women after them. Many rock singers wear makeup on and off stage also. Mineral foundation is very good for the face and undetectable if the right colors are used. Practice. Us women do too. Put makeup on in a window where the natural light will let you know what it really looks like. Stay away from the minerals that have glitter or shimmer. I love it when a man cares about how he looks without being arrogant. Good luck to you sweet Man!

Ok Sorry This Long,

But here's the info for you. 80% of women either don't mind or think it is good that guys wear a concealer or foundation to help improve their looks.

I run this survey in different ways on different sites, and it's always around 80% approval.

My question today was is it ok for a guy to hide blemishes with a concealer. Some comments where:

"it’s good that “men” care about their appearance”

“I like the idea of guys trying to look their best for me, because it makes me feel important “

“There is absolutely nothing wrong with a man caring for his skin. Which includes wearing a bit of makeup to look his best. And it has been going on for a lot longer than people seem to think. My grandma has told me stories of her boyfriends using her lotions and makeup for just this purpose when she was young.”

“I don't think it is a big deal at all and i am sure I speak for most women when i say that”

Now your left with the 20% who will think your gay. But these all comment on how it will look.

Well, apparantly they do not know how to use foundations and concealers. Becuase if you apply it right you can not tell your wearing anything. Unless you really look for it.

For men it is critical to look natural, women get away with looking like they have a ton of makeup on, even though it looks like he**.
Men can't!! It must look natural.

1) Make sure you match your skin tone.

2) Less is best, your not trying to paint your face just conceal some unwanted spots and blemishes, don't try to change your natural color, Try To Match It.

3) To match you skin tone, test colors on one wrist below your palm, blend it in then compare with your other palm. This will get you in the ball park color wise.

4)Then test it on your check bone and under your eye. Blend with a soft brush. If you can't see it, nobody else will.

Blend, Blend, Blend...this is something many men and a lot of women don't do.

Your not alone many men wear cosmetics, especially if they want to be succesfull in business. Having the big Zit on your forhead is really distracting during a meeting.

I wear concealer all the time, and YES you will get the chicks if you do it right.

If your worried about wearing a "girl makeup" here are male cosmetic places
MaleSpecies
Studio5ive
Zirh
MenScience
Best-Mens-Makeup
4VOO
L O'real for Men

P.S. I sell men's cosmetics that's why I test this question.

We live in a world of gender-specific EVERYTHING.

Really, the only difference between a man and a women are the physical properties, not the tendancy to play sports or wear high heals.

I say do whatever you feel like doing. If anyone's got a problem with it, who cares? We are going to be dead someday.

Your blemishes are the same as a woman's blemishes; COVER 'EM UP!

Women can wear makeup. Why can't men??? I think bare minerals would be fine. But if you don't want to spend "2 easy payments of 29.99" i'd recommend Bare Naturale by L'Oreal! It's awesome. I'm sure it works about exactly the same.

nope it don't mean your gay to wear makeup.. just hide the makeup if ya feel a chic is gonna trip.

heck Strahan had makeup on yesterday during the game after he took his helmet off for his interview he had on concealer to hide his razor bump blemishes.

so do what makes u feel good , i have blemishes and i wear concealer and mac makeup but I'm a chic so everyone has flaws so why not fix and make it better for your over all self esteem...

If you think about it, actors wear makeup all the time and it isn't considered gay. Don't worry about the gayness factor. I'd try using products to clear your blemishes first, there are blemish medications that have pigment added to smooth out the blotchty spots. ;)

hell no it aint wrong. all male news reporters actors and that are on tv all wear make up. they even use bronzers to look tanned and defined. my boyfriend uses my make up when he has a blemish or even when he has bags under his eyes when he is tired. so go on with using make up..its always been a secret for men but you'll see it coming out more in the next future. they are planning on a creating a mens make up line!!

yeah go for it. I use www.jrminerals.com the ingredients are safe (look for non talc powders) and make your pores smaller. I noticed less imperfections developing from the 1st day. It's also not as visable on teh skin and protects from sunburn.

She will also send small samples for a few dollars with 50c postage, depending on where u are, it's worth a try...

Hmm...Do not know if this would fit into the metrosexual categorey. I know people that exfoliate and mosturize can be referred to as metrosexual. The makeup thinkg is iffy though. I think I would keep that one to myself.

Is that tame enough of an answer for you?
