have a better life? more luck?

what do you think?

call me naive, but i have met many beautiful and intelligent people, men and women, and though their life isn't perfect (whose is?!), it does look like they are more lucky, respected and better treated.

if i offended anyone with this question, i am sorry. i don't mean to, i am wondering what others think.

You make your own luck, but to be young, beautiful and intelligent will pretty much ensure you are given more breaks by others than those without the same attributes.
Whether these charmed people make use of those opportunities for happiness, success and wealth is open for debate. I have known quite a few beautiful and intelligent people that have made a mess out of their lives.

I agree to what you say but only to some degree. I guess there are some, but not all, who tend to favor physically attractive people, showing them more acceptance and giving them more opportunities.

But I believe that intelligent people go further in life, whether they are beautiful or not. A person's intelligence makes him/ her capable and able to pursue and attain goals. And it's not just simply one's intellect that is a factor but having the wisdom on how to use it effectively. Consequently, as one is able to excel and prove himself in his field, he gains that respectable status.
Also as important are relevant skills, inherent talents, character, perseverance, hardwork and people & emotional skills.

As far as being luckier and having a better life, I would say it all depends on what one considers is a good life. As you pointed out, no one's life is actually perfect. I am aware that there are modest-looking, average-earning people who have essentially better, happier lives than some "beautiful", successful people.

I agree to an extent, Im not going to get into but I do agree and get what you mean. a television show did a test once, they put a really acctractive women with a blonde wig,put fake boobs in and a really small tight dress on & got her to drop things like her shopping bag or something, and everytime someone, men or women would stop and help her pick the stuff up, the next day they put the same women on the street, but had her with no wig or fake boobs , and putt stuffing in her clothes to make her appear bigger in size and just dressed in average every day clothes, and out of the hole day standing in the street droping things, only one person helped her pick her stuff up, who happen to be a women.

Beautiful people have it good for a while, but looks eventually fade. Intellect will not fade. Education will get you much farther than beauty...don't believe me....do you think Bill Gates is hot? No, but he is the richest guy in the world, not to mention the most recognized. Think about it....

Intelligent people are beautiful more often than not. A very beautiful freind of mine once told me that she hated the fact that she never knew if people liked her because of her looks or the content of her character.

It's hard to answer seeing as i'm probably not beautiful and i'm definately not intelligent but i think it certainly appears that way.
Maybe they're just better at hiding the ugly things that have happened to them as well as their own ugly features (everyone has some ugly features, noone's perfect).

You can make out of life with what all you put into it...,nothing more, nothing less. You reap what you sow, so to speak. That statement could mean anything you read into it. If you love people then they will love back you (most of them), if your kind and considerate it will come back to you....I am sure you get the picture now!

I am intelligent, and I have a great life, but I do think things would be easier if I were more attractive.
