Hit it with some form of Winterizer and try to keep the leaves off it until the snow arrives. In the spring, get out and rake it or aerate it and hit it with some crabgrass preventer and then some weed & feed 8-10 weeks later and you'll be on the way to a great lawn.

I live in the north and I've always cut it as low as the mower goes and I scalp it . It dont look so nice but in the spring I give it another scalp and a pre-emergence for crabgrass(just before the forsythia bloom) and then Scotts turf builder. Then I sit back and watch my neighbors drool.

I have never done a thing to my lawn and every year it comes up as beautiful as the last.

Let the snow fall on it. You're going to have enough to do shoveling snow off the sidewalks and driveway.

You could cover it with a nice, warm down quilt....just an idea!
