If you're getting something storebought, most stores don't have any Halloween merchandise left in order to make room for Christmas stock, and the ones that do don't have costumes or costume accessories.

I'm curious if perhaps it's the same line of thinking as shopping for the entire family at 11:59pm on Christmas Eve?

Some people always wait to the last minute. Valentine's Day you see them in line at the drug store trying to get a card or candy. Christmas Eve they are out buying gifts, they go out the day before Thanksgiving to buy food and a frozen turkey that takes two days to thaw out. They are procrastinators!

yes and no...like a lot of people procrastinate about Christmas presents they do about Halloween costumes...and some are also probably deciding if they even want to celebrate it or not...I did that one year myself...decided to put together a costume at the last minute and went as a ghoul...I was a scary ghoul I was! LOL

exactly! I think some people just don't get into it in time. Lack of funds plays a part as well, and the inability to be creative.

I don't know... not dressing up this year personally - just no time and getting over being sick.

However, my guess is a combo of procrastination and/or last minute invitations/plans.

some people are lazy or dont want to "rush the holiday" eventhough its practically over before they start. Idiots.
