I think it amazing what is being called torture. This is another one of those liberal fantasies used to bash their opponents with. Did you know the rules were far less strict under the Clinton regime when he invaded Bosnia. Did you know he wanted even more options. Where is an honest liberal when you need one.

Well, you see, there once was a time when the greatest army in the world, kept playing by the rules, they never stooped to the opposing side level. Well, this story has actually been told many times. Well anyway, examples of playing by the rules that others do not follow can be seen in the American Revolution(us americans gurellia fighters, fought really dirty, and the British never adapted and from such, lost) and there was the Vietnam War(well, what more can I say, if you know anything about history you would know) and then WW2 when Russia basically became ruthless after what the Germans did to them, and won
The moral of the story is, evolution, whether it be true in the way it was originally thought of or not, needs to be utilized in war, without such, your side will lose more and more people. And victory will never see the light of day for your side

Torture has always been part of war, even for us. What is different now is that we (the US) are letting the world and our enemies know how we get information and what our limits are. This is another way we are being undermined by our own press. The right for the freedom of the press is to keep the government from harming our citizens, not to inform our enemies about how we are fighting them. This is treason and we need to put a stop to it. The biggest problem is that we don't play hard enough. We need to make some examples of the press and our enemies, let them know that there is a price to be paid for crossing the line. If we don't make a stand soon, the liberals among us will lead us to ruin.

great question. my daughter's teacher told her today that Bush vetoed the torture bill. How uninformed is this nation on this terrible issue? others will say I'm just another stupid liberal bleeding heart, then they'll probably go to church and praise God in the next breath. No it's not ok to torture anyone for anything. 44 men died of questionable means at Abu Griab in Iraq. That would turn torture into murder. God help us not only as a nation, but as human beings.

Torture is torture...... the only real way to rewrite it and really know what they are talking about.. and I do mean this administration of fools and their generals who follow... is to get tortured themselves.. see how bad it is.. and then decide whether it can be called torture or not. Bush was too afraid to even go to Viet Nam.. just how long would he last under torture... so let him try it out first.. if he feels it is okay.. then, hey, its good by me.

Well personally im amazed that they even admit they will re write the law instead of just re writing and calling the journalist who breaks the story a year later a traitor to the country.

Golly Gee... no... we should give all detainees a pension and full medical benefits for the rest of their lives. Then I'm really really sure that they would like us and not do any more nasty things ever again.

I think that the administration is dangerous... they don't seem to have any empathy for anyone or anything... It makes me wonder if, when bush was talking about how the terrorist's hated America and hated freedom, that he was talking about himself and his administration.

I thinks its perfectly ok. Any enemy of the United States that resorts to cutting peoples heads off on camera, and sending the video tape to news organizations, and you have to take extra special measures with them, period!
