Well, people come here for opinions and questions...although I really hate that link spammer and homework questions (even though I helped one or two)
The place is mixed with people who find spamming random questions a form of entertainment and think they're really funny.
Then there are people who acually come here for help on ideas, opinions, life issues, and whatsoever (Not those who are too lazy to pay attention in class and do the homework themselves.)
Maybe your being too strict on these people, some people acually want opinions on their relationships, or outside thoughts about their religion.
And lastly, yes these questions are realy annoying me too, but they just want to look their best during school and have fun with their friends while trick-or-treating.
It just so happens that most of the questions are related to costumes, because what else can you ask about Halloween? "What kind of candy is poisonous?" "Where do I go to trick-or-treat?" "What times should I go hang out?" These questions would be better answered by friends who live around your community, so it just goes down to simply, "what costume should I wear"?

yes you forgot the ones that keep asking what is wrong with their dogs.....like we are really going to know. but I totally agree with you. I have to wonder what some of these people did for answers before yahoo answers was ever created, or the internet for that matter.
