It's going to be tough. Our hypocritical foreign policies have made it much harder to combat terrorists for the foreseeable future. We need friends to help us, not suspicious "allies" of convenience.

If the democrats don't win will they simply write it off to another stolen election? Or, will they ask themselves does the masses need to 1st hear a thought out plan with detail of how it is going to be accomplished. Just a thought. We didn't ask the tough question 1st time; are we not going to ask them again?

You bore me with your infantile attempts at humor. Who do we need respect from the French, the Russians, the Germans. Your end zone celebration is as premature as your parties plans to pull out of Iraq. In the words of the famous philosopher Yogi Berra "you better not look behind ya something might be gaining on ya."

We hear what we want to hear. Its in style to quote death numbers and "the insurgency", but when I start to talk about new hospitals, a revamped school system, ten-fold increase in commence, then I say IRAQ, I get booed out of a room. War bashers don't want to hear it. Sooner or later people are going to have to admit - its not as bad as we want to think it is. You can complain, I'm going to invest in Iraq and get rich.

As you said, it would be wise to wait until November 8th before anyone declares "mission accomplished". A lot of definite Democrat sure wins are now toss ups.

The democrats should not have just relied on the Foley scandal that they sprung. They may have won Foley's district but the backlash cost them about 15 other locks.

Hopefully we will regain respect ... but we need to throw out all the cheaters and liars first. I mean, come on.. other countries can see that our administration even lied to its own people.. so how can a foreign government trust them... hopefully, a change will bring about better communication everywhere.

Respect for what? For going over there and doing the right thing? People don't seem to realize there is ALOT we've accomplished during this war. All everyone hears about are the deaths and destruction. Hey, I'm going to tell my daughter the next time she calls from Iraq how foolish she is for being there. Give me a break!
