I have recently re-installed WinME onto my laptop, but I can't get my USB Wireless adapter work and connect to my router! It is a D-Link DWL-G132, on the front of the manual, it says it'd work with WinME. Anyone got any ideas how I can get it to work? Much needed internet. Thanks a lot.

Well, the answer is fairly easy. You need to threaten it with a thrashing, like Basil did in Fawlty Towers when his car would not start and he got a limb from a near by tree and began thrashing the hood of his car and yelling at it. You need to put the fear of God into your equipment. How dare it not work perfectly! It obviously does not know who you are. In the morning, you need to sit down with it fresh, when you will make some genuine headway. - Chris.

All you have to do is get in the router page and set up a network id with security key on it when that is all set up you go back to use usb wireless adapter then you put in that network id and security key . on ur laptop . make sure you have install the network drives for ur usb adapter then put in the new network id on its control . panel click on the usb network icon put in ur network id and security key then hit apply and it will login when you see it say 100% open up explorer or fire fox coz ur online with ur laptop usb adapter you can use wireless on windows 98 se win me win200 win xp even win 95 its easy set up

You don't say what you have done and what you have not done. How do you have it hooked up? I have Linksys myself and found no problem with its installation.. did you follow the instructions in the manual... ?? where did it stop working the way it is supposed to work.. to many variables.. with your question.. email if you want to talk about it
