Let's say I have a defect in my iPod, and I take it to Best Buy with my extended warranty. And they choose to replace it, and get me a new iPod. I lost the original headphones to the iPod. Will they still take it without the headphones. Can they take the headphones from the new iPod instead?

I'm sure you will be fine, they might not even notice that the headphones are missing, if they do I'm sure they would have nop problems with taking the headphones out of the new ipod.

I don't think they will fault you for not having your headphones.....and if they do, inform them that you have a warranty for the iPod not the headphones.
