The first day of your menstrual cycle is the first day that you get your period -- full flow, not spotting. For an "average" cycle of 28 days, the "average" day of ovulation is day#14. But, since not all of us are "average", tracking your cycles is a great way to start ttc.

Hi there. The first day of your cycle is the first day that you start your period. That is day number 1.
The spotting does complicate things a bit tho. Harder to pinpoint ovulation when you have spotting. I would actually ask my doctor if the day you start spotting may count as day number 1. The more I think about it that may be correct. It would just be considered that for the first two days of your period you were spotting or had very light bleeding. It may still be considered the first day of your period no matter how light the bleeding is. Do you normally have spotting for the first few days?
If it is normal for you then I would count Friday as day number one.
Good luck with getting pregnant!
Blessings

According to my doctor and the two websites that I've been visiting, the first day of your cycle is when you have full bleeding and not spotting. My doctor recommended a very good book for me to read since I too am trying to get pregnant. There were over 800 5--star reviews of this book on Amazon. I would definately recommend reading this book.

Your first day (according to an infertility specialist) is your first full flow day. (when you fill a pad or tampon)
If you are trying to track your fertility, you may want to invest in an ovulation monitor like Clear Blue easy. They cost about $200.00, but it tracks your hormon levels for you, and tells you when you are most fertile. You can even buy a memory chip, and print out your cycle history since using the monitor.
If you don't have the money for that, then you can use basel body temperature charting. You have to chart your temps everyday, as soon as you wake up. (befor even getting out of bed) I tried this method a couple of times, but I'm very forgetfull, and I would alway miss taking my temp.

Anyway, sorry to babble. I hope I answered your questions, and good luck to you!

Now everyone can cure infertility using this natural remedy https://healthcare.im/getting-pregnant
infertility can run in the family and one of the first things the doctor asks you when you go to a fertility clinic is your family history regarding cases of infertility or other reproductive issues.

If infertility is caused by genetic disorder then it's not unusual that one of the kids (your mom) doesn't have it and another does (your aunt).
two months of trying is still to early to be concerned about the fact that you might be infertile and it's also quite early to go to a fertility specialist. Go to a regular Obgyb to get a closer insight and see what ways there are are to improve your fertility rate.

Also remove alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes from your life because they might influence your chances too. Stress is also a risk factor when it comes to infertility.
