Maybe the Giants will sign him, but I don't think Sabean is smart enough to get any of the good free agents!
GO GIANTS!

Cardinals needs veteran in the starting rotation. I see them signing Sup.

My prediction for starting rotation for Cards next year

Carpenter, Suppan, Weaver, Reyes, Wainright.

Yeah, I know, you say Wainright did a great job as closer. Problem is we have a closer that gets 8 million a year. No way we are not going to use him but for that position only (IZZY)

Well they probably will but I'm not sure it is agreat idea. La Russa like veterens and will pull old geezers out of nowhere and give them a role (Vizcaino... Belliard... McGwire, so on).

I think you really need 7 starters at the beginning of the season since no doubt one will flop and one will get injured, and that's if you're lucky.

So, it will be a big payday for Suppan, but I think they'll go with:

Carpenter, Suppan, Weaver, Reyes, and Wainwright

since there's not many to choose from besides them! This includes two rookies, a bipolar Weaver, an ace that may have his best years behind him, and Suppan, the unpredictable! Not exactly the 90s Braves...

Yes i do i think they will sign Carpenter, Weaver, Wainright (yes they will sign him and start him not just close him), Suppan, and Reyes for the pitching spots--i do not expect to see Mulder back because he was on the DL most of the season (too bad because i have his jersey) but mulder was a good pitcher win he wasn't on the DL

In my opinion the Cardinals will try to re-sign him, but i think that the Yankees will put in a good bid on him since they need a solid starter..

Of course they will.Even though Chris Carpenter is their ace,Suppam is the heart of their pitching rotation, especially with the performance he put in the playoffs this year
