If someone is expecting me, then yes. The polite and proper thing for me to do would be to call if i knew i was going to be late.

If i ever get late for some reason i always call to let close ones know where i am ,incase anything happens at least they know where to look for ..

depends on how late and for what. If it's a movie and people will miss part of it waiting, then yes, if there isn't a certain event that has to be time specific and i'm only a bit late, then no.

I'm always late, i was late being born-about a month, and i will probably be late for my own funeral-the hearse will get stuck in traffic or something!
but people expect me to be late so no i only call if I'm gonna be really really late.
