For one, don't worry about popularity. After highschool, popularity means nothing. Think of it this way: popularity isn't something you can put on your resume. A potential employer would never hire someone because they were popular in school, right?
The best thing to do is to get to know yourself better. Not many people know who they are in highschool and even after, it's still a long, long process. Write down all your strengths and compliments you've received before - everytime you feel unsure of yourself think about that list.
Two, don't worry about not being as thin as your sister. Being healthy is far more important and not being perfectly thin doesn't mean you can't wear the clothes you like. You can carry off any outfit regardless of size or shape as long as you carry yourself with confidence and grace. Find out what your body shape is (ie, hourglass, pear, etc.) and what clothes will compliment it. Your style is yours and yours alone.
I know this is all much easier said than done, so please remember that becoming confidence isn't going to happen overnight. You have to take small steps and fake it until it naturally becomes part of you. Try something new each day; wear something you wouldn't normally wear, smile at someone you don't know, start a conversation with someone you don't usually talk to, volunteer with an organization.
If you pretend to be confident and start stepping out of your comfort zone a little at a time, your confidence will become more natural and you'll be more comfortable with yourself.

when i moved to a new school, i was wearing tshirts and jeans just like you. I walked tall, confident, wore makeup (point one: never wear the same shirt 2 days in a row) and i got like 10 friends on the first day. just talk to some girls try like 3 girl friends at a time. Okay, no more story time....
1. Wear different shirts every day
2. Wear makeup
3. Wear Jewlery
4. Walk cool
you'll do great girl

Well this is wat u do. (If ur name is Essence Harley theres no hope for u, ur so lame Essence) First in every class u talk to everyone but not while the teacher is talking. If u do that you'll start that social line. Me, I'm up to 8/10. U r now starting from 1/10. Then for ur look u can wear cute jeans, and cute shirts that aren't tight. Sometimes wear glossy chap stick, or lip gloss. Join clubs, groups, or sports to boost up ur confidence !!! Good luck, and if u act like this all the way u'll be on the 10/10 bar. Good luck, and don't pressure alot with this !

I've had that problem for a while and I found out that if you have confidence in urself, you would never be discouraged by your sister. You can try to communicate with other people and let ur sister help u if she's not the mean one. Are u sure ur not
jealous of your sister?

to be popular?
well i dont know how to help you.
if you just wanna look nice.. then stop with the t-shirts..
im not sure what your style is but if you wanna look nice, go to the store and see what you like, try them on and see how it looks. why not try going shopping with your sister if you like how she dresses?
im not all that skinnny either.. [im not saying im fat. hahah] but like.. there are clothes that can make you look like you're ultra skinny you just gota look.
there are also cute shirts out there.. try layering and stuff too..

Why exactly do you want to change. Actually, when it comes down to it, I think I'm just like U. My sis is a drama queen. There have been periods when I've wanted to change, too. I think as long as you have awesome friends by your side your set. But if you don't, maybe you don't need to change your clothes. Eventually it'll get to you and you won't be able to fake it anymore. But just go up to them and introduce yourself. Don't try to kiss up to them, either. If they don't like you, it's THEIR prob, not yours.

Three stores... Abercrombie and Fitch, American Eagle and Hollister.
Either buy their clothes or work at one of the three. When I got a job at Hollister it gave me a BIG confidence boost!
