I've heard you shouldn't use Windex, if not, then what else?

you can use windex on any tinted window, the only time you have to be careful is when you have had aftermarket tinting and then I would use a cotton cloth to wipe the inside windows off as after market tint scratches easily.

I've always used windex. My mother used to have a blazer with tinted windows in the back. I used windex, no problem. I think Windex, the green mutlittask one is fine, wether you have tint or not. But you could also use a mixture of water and dishwasher detergent.

If your windows are tinted when the car was assembled then any glass cleaner will suffice. If you have added an internal film after the car was purchased then glass cleaner is ok but be careful when polishing.

Always use water and a couple drops of dish washing liquid or a window cleaner approved for tinted windows ,available at any parts store.
