I can totally relate to this!! Maybe we live with slobs who mess it up as quickly as we can clean it. I think that has to be a factor. People with sparkling bathrooms must have trained everybody in the house to clean up after themselves completely.

Yeah, if you live in a family and want a half way decent bathroom you do teach everyone to clean behind themselves. I have a window squeegee in the shower, and everyone knows to squeegee down after they shower. It only takes a minute, and it goes a long way towards keeping the soap and lime buildup down. I use one of the Mr. Clean handles with the appropriate pad, and it usually only takes a minute or so twice a week to get things squeeky. I keep a cleaning sponge in a soap holder that sticks to the side of the vanity for use after the sink is used, to do a quick wipe out and wipe off of the vanity. I also use the bleach drop ins in the toilet, so that stays clean inside at least. When I use the bathroom, I've just gotten into the habit of having a quick look to see how things are going. If I see the toilet needs taking care of, I have a brush just behind it, and I can give it all a quick swish down. SInce I have a bleach drop in, I can use the clean water from the toilet and the brush to do a quick clean. Then flush, and it's all tidy again. Same for the sink- the sponge is right there and it's a quick swipe. The worst problem I have, with four kids, are the toothpaste splatters. There's really no cure for that one, except a pack of window wipes under the vanity. One of those usually does the job, if the splatters are really bad. Before I throw it away, I usually use it to wipe of the light switch and the toilet handle. I've found the minute or two of daily maintenance is a lot easier than facing a weekly major cleaning job. But yeah, short of a maid- or being the maid- the easiest way to keep a clean bathroom is to convince everyone who shares the use to clean behind themselves. Or else!

To clean the bathroom, have the right cleaning products. A cleaning spray like Tilex, or Clorox Clean-up for the shower. Spray it on, but let it set for a few minutes to make the cleaning easier. Pour a little bleach into the toilet, and let it set for a few minutes, also, before you use the brush. For hard water rings, use vinegar instead of bleach. Windex wipes make cleaning the mirror simple. The easier you make it to clean it. the more likely you are to do so.
The key to keeping it clean is organization. If you have a place for everything, it wont set around the counters. Get some plastic storage boxes and to put personal items in. Everyone gets their own box. A different box for first aid, and medicine. All of which gets stored in the sink cabinet. After you are done doing your bathroom stuff, toss all your things into the box and put it under the counter. If sharing the bathroom with several people, and if space is at a premium, the personal items can be kept in the bedroom before and after use.
Make clean easy and simple.Have a container of Clorox wipes setting out within easy reach. After you put your personal stuff in your storage box, grab a cleaning wipe, and give the counter a quick swipe. It take hardy anytime at all.

STAY THAT WAY?!?!?!?!...See that is your problem!!!
Just like me, I think pixies and fairy's are suppose to fold my laundry. That doesn't happen either.
But sparkling clean is easy. Vinegar and water if you have allergies will keep the bath spotless, so will bleach and water.
If you do not have any allergies, then go got any mildew removing cleaner followed by a DAILY soap scum/mildew stain prevent er.
I use Arm and Hammer "Clean Shower" I am sure that there are others out there!
One other option! My MOM can afford a house keeper, so who cares how it gets clean, Moms Bath always sparkles!
I WISH

To get rid of soap scum you can either use Borax mixed with a detergent or Easy Off for real tough problems. When using Easy Off make sure your bathroom is well ventilated and keep mouth/nose covered. Let it sit for no more than 10 minutes, then scrub off with wall scrubber.
If its mildew, better to use Borax with diluted ammonia until sudsy, letting it sit for 5 minutes, then scrub, rinse. Make sure you wear gloves and masks.
