A capital crime usually involves sever bodily harm, like murder. Infamous would equate more to scandalous. It's a societal judgement rather than (capital) punishment. Someone could commit a capital crime and it would never hit the headlines. On the other hand, the worse the crime: serial murders, kidnapping and molestation might become infamous. Examples: John Wayne Gacy, serial killer, Jeffry Dahmer, serial killer, Lee Harvey Oswald, purported assassin of JFK.

A sin is something that is based on religion. If you are to commit adultery it's a sin. A crime is something that contains breaking a law put forth by the government. So say you speed, that's a crime. Some crimes are sins, and some sins are crime, but as mentioned above not every sin is a crime, and not every crime is a sin.

a capital crime is one where the perpetrator is executed
an infamous one is one which gains notoriety for some reason but may not result in anyone being prosecuted or executed
