grass is a collective word like sugar and fish. The plural for them is the same as the singular when speaking of one type.

If you want to distiguish differents kinds of grass, then use grasses ie., Barley, alfalfa and wheat are grasses.

Depends. Multiple blades are grass. Multiple kinds are grasses.

Wheat and Barley are forms of GRASSES.

Pot and MaryJane are forms of GRASS.

Treatment is singular, only one treatment. Treatments are plural, many of them. So using treatment doesn't make sense if you use the verb form "cost", it would need to be "costs". you could say "Treatments cost" or "Treatment costs". but you can't mix up the two. You cant't say "these disease" because these is plural - these must be followed by a plural. But you could say "this disease" if you mean just one disease.
