Actually, 100% of Americans belong to ethnic groups, some of which are European.
Ethnicity means pertaining to race, any race.

Perhaps if you worded your question differently, you might get the answer you want.

White, Hispanic and African American??? Sounds about right to me, I heard that within the next 20 years white people will no longer be the majority in America. I think they said that on CNN actually.
