It really depends on how much candy you have and what it is, but as a general rule, I would say 2-3 pieces per visitor.

Because we don't get many treaters here , maybe a dozen to 20, we give 2 pieces between 6-7, then 3 or 4 from 7-lights out.

I miss living in a place where I would get 100 or so kids a night, THAT was fun.

Well have you ever seen those mini bags there decorated with halloween piczies. You could put a sucker, a chocalate, a spider toy, and if u want u could ad more candy like a sponge bob burger. Well you should get like a pot fill it up with different kind of candy, and just give a handful. I mean 1 piece of candy my gosh..unless its like a huge candybar.

Depends on how old - 1 to 3 pieces - younger gets less because you know they won't eat all of it (Mom, Dad, sibling, whoever will!). Sometimes we give toys instead, like neat whistles or yo-yos.

However, if it is a baby and obviously too young to eat candy - definately a cheap toy or a penny for the piggy bank. (Be real - the baby isn't going to eat that stuff!)
