You will need some zip cord and a male add-a-tap. the hardware section carries these items. Zip cord is two wires in one, like speaker wire. Simply wire each wire to one of the wires on your fixture. Use wire nuts to couple the wires together then wrap with electrical tape for added safety and to hold the nuts on more securely. On the other end put the add-a-tap on. Have the hardware person show you how it goes, if you haven't seen one. You're ready to go.

Actually, you can use a good cord off of something that quit working like a blow dryer. Keep the length u need, and the male end. Wire it to the fixture, white to white, black to black. put the little plastic covers over the twisted wire.....black tape that up to and plug it in. If the cord is another color from the color of your ceiling then paint it to match.

I was reading the other answers and they are crazy man, just buy a male cord end most likely 15 amp 2 prong with a ground if you have one and plug that sucker in, remember, the hot wire goes on the short blade of the plug and the white wire goes on the longer blade and the ground, if there goes on the more rounded and green "stab" on the plug.

disconnect the wires going to the fixture... then get a 3(THREE) wire cord(18 guage min) and wire that into the fixture on one end and wire a 3 prong 110 volt male cord cap on the other

Could you maybe explain this a bit better? What is the fixture, and what are you trying to do with it? eMail me with more info it you like and I'll hopefully be able to help you out (many years electrical experience)
