if you sync your ipod with itunes, when you delete songs in itunes they will be gone on the ipod the next time you sync with itunes

1. Plug in iPod
2. Go to iPod in iTunes
3. Right click on song to be deleted
4. Click delete song
5. It will ask you if you want to remove it. Hit ok or yes.
6. The song will be off your iPod.
7. You can leave the song in your iTune library if you want.

well use itunes, it is not that hard, delete it from your playlist if you have a brand new ipod, because it will sync on your ipod if it is in your playlist

when all else fails......pull out the instruction book that came with it and actually READ.
