I live in a tall building on the bottom floor that's infested with mice. Can mice live on the higher floors such as buildings with 40 to 50 floors? Has anyone work on high floors and seen mice and rats?

mice can get anywhere... once they find a hole in a wall, they can climb like you wouldn't believe. perhaps they just haven't made it up to you yet, or won't need to go that far up, because they are content with the floors below you..

nasty lil things!

Rodents can live anyplace that there are humans and food sources; they will enter through air and heat duct work, my ex used to do data technology cabling including security systems and would tell me stories about rats and mice in the ceilings and attics of the uppermost levels of high rise buildings. Drop ceilings are the best places for them to live unfortunately because its dark, quiet and warm and has access to all of the humans stuff! If you can handle it, get a cat, most rodents will avoid apartments with cats because the ones that don't have them are easier to raid.

Depending on the building structure, mice can climb up, in between the walls. I live in a house, and I've had mice in my attic. A mouse can get through a hole the size of a dime. A rat, the size of a quarter. They can also, chew through drywall, plastic, wood, etc....

Yeah they can get up there if they desire to. It is just a matter of time.
