because people cannot easily own up to the fact that they are wrong. Especially when being wrong would cost them extraordinarily.

I'm not sure the problem is so much that people don't believe it is real, as people blindly believe it.
There is a reason it is called a theory - it's not been proven. No-one has yet managed to reproduce the phenomenon in a lab, nor did anyone see it happening. Now, there is a vast array of evidence telling us that the current version of the theory if evolution is as good an approximation of what happened as we have yet come up with, but this does not mean our approximation is correct.
Few people have seen primary evidence either way, so their mind is therefore made up on the basis of the books they've read and what they've been told, and how they're told to treat this information.
If you believe that science textbooks are fact and religious texts are fiction, you will side with the theory of evolution. If you believe the opposite, you're more likely to side with the creation theory.
I can't say that video has changed my opinions at all, really. It's presented no new evidence - i've still not seen the fossil evidence first hand. Sure, i've seen pictures, but i've also seen pictures of Adam and Eve....

It's called the THEORY of evolution, not the FACT of evolution.
Everything on that video can be 'disproved' just as easily as it can be 'proven'.
I personally like ideas that cannot be proven OR disproved...Those ideas rock.
Personally I believe that man has been here a whole lot longer than the Bible claims....Even longer than evolution calims. I adhere to the idea that civilisations have risen and been reduced to nothing on this planet for hundreds of millions of years....
Do a google search under 'forbidden archeology' and you'll see what I mean.
Peace.

Look at the flu Virus, The island of Madagascar, Galapagos Islands, etc...These are all micro-chasm of the Creative process of evolution.
People don't believe it because religious canon and dogma do not allow...for imagination when it comes to science...however you cannot ignore what you can watch. It is learned and self-protective ignorance allowing a comfortable place where one needs not be bothered by questions which cannot be easily answered.
I mean Seven days is easier to wrap one's head around rather than looking at the eons of creative process glorifying the Devinne and creating the world in its wondrous variety and splendor...
I think it is sad people choose to hide behind what is easy rather than what is real.

Perhaps it is the desire to believe that Humans were designed with a purpose and reason not just a causal effect of random events with no reason or rhyme. Then there are those who want no responsibility and think it solves that problem.

God vs. Science
God is sitting in Heaven when a scientist says to Him, "Lord, we don't need You anymore. Science has finally figured out a way to create life out of nothing. In other words, we can now do what you did in the beginning."
"Oh, is that so? Tell me," replies God.
"Well," says the scientist, "We can take dirt and form it into the Likeness of You and breathe life into it, thus creating man."
"Well, that's interesting. Show me."
So the scientist bends down to the Earth and starts to mold the soil.
"Oh no, no, no," interrupts God. "Get your own dirt!"

theory is stilll a theory... no one live long enough to prove that evolution exist.. if u don believe in God because u didn't see GOD, then don believe in evolution becos u are not there to see evoultion being carried out.....if bible can be make up.. evidence can too.....and the evidence leads to assumptions.. leads to theories.... blah blah....

creationists dont believe in evolution. They take the Bible literally and if evolution is given credence then all the Bible is up for questioning. Then they need a whole new belief system and heaven becomes a myth.
