First problem with your question is the assumption that all would have a church to choose. Where would an atheist agree to attend? What sect of Christianity would a Muslim choose to hear the word of God from?
While many people choose to center their lives around religion, religion is not the center of life. Separation of church and state is necessary so as not to impose any one sect or faith's personal beliefs on the entire population.
And what would the benefits be? Everyone would be godly and without sin? Attending service does not make you a better person. Adolf Hitler grew up in the Catholic Church. He was an altar boy. Yet he was responsible for the murder of millions. Osama Bin Laden is a fundamental Mulsim. He stops what he is doing to focus on only God and pray to him 5 times a day. Yet is he the ideal human? I think not...

No, that is why we have the seperation of church and state in the United States. You not only have the option to choose your own religion, but you have the option not to choose any religion or go to any church. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink, making someone go to church would possible make them resent religion.

You made chocolate milk come out of my nose!!
No, it would not be beneficial. It could potentially incite rioting. And then there's the whole "separation of church and state" thing.

Of course not! God gave us freedom of choice, and that also means choosing whether or not you go to church. I do, and I wish everyone did, but they should choose for themselves.

Heck NO!!
.I have never ONCE felt the presence of God in any church.
But I feel Him everytime I plant something!!
He is all around us, and you don't have to go to some over-fancy church to worship Him!

the church of their choice could be "no" church. That's what freedom of religion is all about.
