Well I'm between two (Santorini & Myconos).Santorini for romantic times with the special girl and Myconos for partying with friends.

Naxos has plenty of variety and is more than just a 'holiday' island. It does have superb beaches on both the west side and the east side. A short drive in-land takes you to a number of very attractive mountain village which have a totally different atmosphere from the coastal spots.
Least favourite would include Santorini (the Italian name) or to give it the Greek name - Thira. Strickingly attractive but over expensive. Do you want to go into a bar and pay 16 euro for two cocktails and be asked if you want change from a 20 euro note?
Same problem with Mykonos which is another tourist trap.
Do you want the true Greece or a tacky rip off?
Paros is OK.

Of course I am prejudiced because I live on Paros, but I talk to a lot of travelers. Everyone raves about the beauty of Santorini but can't wait to move on. No one has a bad word to say about Naxos or Paros. Other islands are popular only because they are difficult to get to such as Milos and Folegandros. The few that make it to Amorgos say that it is their favourite. I have actually talked to some people who said they like Mykonos.

As generally happens, it depends on what you're looking for. I've visited Tinos, Mykonos (with a day trip to Delos), and Santorini. Of these, Santorini is easily the most beautiful, due to its structure. I'm sure you can find pictures of it fairly easily. However, Mykonos has the biggest party atmosphere - there's always things going on, and they have lots of clubs. My preference was Santorini, because of the fantastic views and the boat tour we went on while we were there.

Lots of them.
Santorini is the best landscape so ever with interesting archaeological site
Mykonos has "couleur local" and superb night life
Syros is really wonderful especially Galisas beach
Naxos has a large variety of landscapes and many things to do
Patmos is very interesting, if you visit the Monastery and the small villages
Tinos is known for the Megalohari, but has very beautiful beaches and sites.
It depends on what you are ´looking for...

I prefer the ones that are not so busy (santorini,myconos,etc),like Serifos,Milos,Anafi
