I have a friend who really loves this movie and despretly wants a copy (new) for Christmas. I've been looking all over and if I do find it, people want over 30$ for it.
Does anyone happen to know where I can find a reasonably cheap new copy of this great movie. I know it will be difficult as it is out of print...but still...
Please help?

I've been bidding on ebay and the price has gone up to 50$!
I've tried walmart, frys, best buy, circuit city, fred meyers, amazon, half.com, overstock.com, movies.com, etc. Nothing is coming up or it is way over my price limit.

Hate to tell you this, but the reason why it's so expensive is because Disney is no longer selling it as an active title. Therefore, it's more or less become a "collector's item" of sorts.
Keep trying ebay or call around to your local stores that sell movies and price them there. If anything, since it's out in the theaters now, I'd expect Disney to re-release it, possibly before the holidays. If not, get your friend a gift certificate for the future release of the movie.
EDIT: I hate to say it, but I think you're SOOL - unless your friend has a PSP, there's no way you're going to find it at a decent price unless it's re-released before Christmas.

I'd try Target or Walmart. Maybe Best Buy, but that'd probably be a little more exspensive. Also, try Hot Topic, they have a ton of NBC stuff there, you could get your friend some cool merch from the movie, they might have the DVD as well, but I'm not sure.

Check out Amazon.com. They have new special edition "Nightmare before Christmas" DVD's with extra stuff for your friend to enjoy. If you want under $30, then you may have to settle for a VHS because those are sold new around $15.

They are probably really cheap in Walmart and Target. I've gotten movies from there for like $9 that are $20 elsewhere.
