My husband died Dec. 24, 2004 by suicide. We have three young kids together. A few days after he died his mom and brother, 13 at the time, took most of his belongings without permission. Should I ask for some of the meaningful things back? He had 3 paint ball guns, a palm pilot, and some other stuff that meant something to me. I was so mad at my husband for dying and leaving me and our kids that it took me a while to realize that some of that stuff they took had meant something to me or my children. Help me please.

Definitely get his stuff back for your children's sake. My Dad died and my mother was left with just my brother and I. She went to all his friends and relatives who had his stuff and got it for me and my brother.
It has meant so much to my brother and I because that's all we have left of him.
My Dad has been gone for over twenty years now and my Mom just went back to the Midwest to find someone who had another belonging of my Dads.My Mom just wanted to have all that we could that was our fathers.
My brother and I are so grateful. We love our Mother so very much for her strong efforts.
Some things might be so small and meaningless, but it means the world to my brother and I because it was our Dad's.
It is all rightfully yours and your children's.You will be very happy you retrieved his belongings, especially in years to come.
God bless your family.Best wishes to all of you!

Because feminists feel guys and ladies are identical ..... ooops ...... unique. This is a variety of propaganda, guys and ladies are equals besides while they're unequal and it's consistently the feminine that's harm by means of the inequity. Here is their twist, while a lady does anything terrible a person is in the back of it by hook or by crook, manipulating her, abusing her, something. Also while this vile guy did something he did to intent the lady to the terrible factor she did, does no longer topic, she might be 50 years historic, however her movements might be excused on account that her step dad while she used to be 6 years historic used to be imply to her. When a person does anything terrible, it's his accountability, it doesn't matter what, at any time when.

You can ask for the things back if they still have them. Do you have any pictures of him? This may be the best way to remember him!

Your husbands property is your property under most common property laws. Unless there is a written will.

You have a right to what was taken, it is theft.

Yes! For them to enter your home and remove his stuff is wrong. You have first say in what happens to his things not them
