I'm going to see it this week but I'm wondering if it has enough battle scenes or if it focuses more on the men after the battle. I just don't want to get my hopes up for a bunch of fighting scenes and be let down.

SAVING PRIVATE RYAN had better battle scenes but they both had good plot lines. The scene where "Doc" finds Iggy in FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS is priceless, the cinematography was superb the way the lighting focused on Doc and showed his horrified expression.

I liked FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS.

It is as intense emotionally as Saving Private Ryan and there is plenty of battle action but the focus is really on the lives of the men when they are forced to be part of the public relations campaing for the war drive.

These two movies are in a league of their own, but to choose one movie Saving Private Ryan stands above it. You can tell the revenues, majority of viewers are not enthusiasticly going to watched Flags of our Fathers, not putting down the movie, Clint Eastwood is brilliant but this time we are overwhelm of war movies. I wait till it comes on video. Hope you enjoy the flick.
