Do any of the Animes actually say how tall the various Mecha are? It's so hard to figure out when trying to compare them in size to humans or other ships around them....
in "Stellvia" -- Infy had to be towed behind a freighter type of space craft.
In "Vandread" -- when the two ships (the male "van" and the female "dreads") to creat the Vandread.... some of those were pretty big, maybe not the biggest, but hard to tell.
In "Full Metal Panic" -- Behemoth, one of the bad guy Mecha, was huge! Folded down it barely fit in a freighter ship, it sunk the ship when it turned on the power and stood up. It made Sosuke's mecha look tiny! (found in "FMP - the Anime Mission" book... says Behemoth was said to be 50 meters high, which is about 164 feet)
Those are ones I can think of for now... If anyone has any other accurate sizes, great!

well, there is the Evas from Evangelion, I'm not really sure about their height but there is also the Gundams from Gundam Wing (not sure about Gundum Wing destiny). I think the two robots are about the same height. Though Powerpuffgirls was also considered an anime and their robot (the one that was only used in one episode because Proffesor wanted them to use it) that one was big also...so I'm not entirely sure but it is massive

The only 2 that come to mind are Gigantor and the Iron Giant..can't help on the height,though..

i dont know about the tallest but the shortest is mecazowas little brother(cromartie high)
