I am a citizen of Russian Federation and have been living in the UK for more than 3 years and hold a UK student visa valid for 2 years.
Would I need to get a visa, to travel to the UAE(dubai)? I'm almost sure that I do NOT need visa, but please confirm, if someone knows.

hi there yes you will need to obtain a visa. If you are going on holiday you will have to obtain a sponsor from your hotel who will send you a copy of your visa which you will need to show the airline before departure. If you are going to work or study then the work place or school will again need to sponsor you. Then once you arrive there when you head towards immigration there will me a group of people wearing yellow uniforms they are from the "MARHABA" (welcome) people who will have your name on a board who will take you to a desk to obtain your visa to take to the immigration officer. If in doubt look on airlines web site or the UAE embassy web site to find out more

Unless you have British passport, you are not entitled to enter in UAE without prior visa (visit/transit/resident) Take care and cheers.
