You don't really have to. Just pull the top button off and replace it with a traditional aerosol top, that will create the small hole you want for prejectile shaving creaming. But if you have to do the old melting trick, just take the top off, melt the tip with any heat source (lightier, matches...) then poke a pin through the melted tip so the thing stream of shaving cream sprays out of it. But the aerosol top works best.
