How old were you and who did you want to win and did that opinion change as you got older?

I was in grade school. If you are asking about party affiliation--yes. Kennedy was a Democrat. However, today he would probably be Republican. Cutting taxes, strongly against abortion, anti-big government.

Oops.....guess I'm showing my age.

I can remember the Johnson campaign (LBJ for the USA). The first campaign I ever voted in was that of Gerald Ford. Can't remember just who his challanger was but I was a California Democrat in those days, before I wised up and started voting Republican.

1964, Johnson vs. Goldwater, amidst Beatlemania. I was in 1st grade. If I remember right, I wanted Barry Goldwater to win. Those were the good old days.

I was about 10 years old, and it was Carter vs Reagan. Reagan won. I didn't know enough about politics to really root for anyone at the time, but I remember that everyone was SO excited about Ronald Reagan.

I remember the reagan election in 1980, mainly b/c I rememebr the yellow ribbons for the hostages in Iran.

The Kennedy and Nixion campain in 1960. I was 9 and both of my parents were voting for the other person. One for Nixion and one for Kennedy. I vote for who i think will do the best job in office. Be it a Democrat or Republican!

The first one I remember was Nixon/McGovern.I was in fourth grade and had a picture of Nixon on my notebook.I might not have been born a republican but I was not to far from it.

Kind of like Jimi Hendrix dying before he could get $hitty and go Disco, JFK will always seem like a great legend.

I supported and voted for Reagan. Then his voodoo economic policies turned me off. I was then and still am socially liberal.
