Hmm check and see if the sound card is ok. You do this by right clicking on My Computer. Then hightlight Properties and click. Then go to hardware tab at the top of the Window that just poped up. Then go to device manager.

It should list all the devices on your computer and if one is not working there will be a ! beside it.

Try this unplug the speakers, plug in headphones into the green speaker plug. Now try music. If it works, it's not your computer or sound card. (if still no sound check settings or reinstall sound card)

Then plug the speakers back in, check for power, wiggle the speaker cord. and see if they come on. If not it's the speakers.

Be sure to check that your volume is not on mute. Clean the speaker jack with a dry clean cotton cloth then plug it in correctly.

Depends on the type of speakers. Are they a 3.5mm audio jack? If so, check your sound card or the power adapted for them (if they have one) if they're USB, check your USB card. Try and find the source of where the sound is coming FROM rather than where the sound is coming OUT. You'll usually find the problem. Good luck! :-)

Do you have a wolf-er (sp) with your computer speakers? There is a button on top of it that might have gotten pushed. My cats walked on mine and pushed the button!
