About two weeks before a woman's period, one or both of her ovaries release an egg. Some women ovulate exclusively from one ovary. Some switch off from month to month, and sometimes a woman will ovulate more than one egg or from both ovaries. With only one ovary, it is theoretically possible for there to be less frequent ovulation, but our bodies compensate for most things, and since the hormones to make ovulation occur are still there, there is an excellent chance that having one ovary will not make a difference in how often a woman ovulates, therefore not affecting the chances of pregnancy.

You carry a child in the uterus. The ovary produces hormones..having one ovary wouldn't make it impossible to carry a child (2 would ).
