A friend last year had a funny clever idea... he dressed as a street bum, in his rattiest dirtiest jeans and t-shirt... but the clever bit was his sign. It said something along the lines of needing to earn money to become a ninja to avenge his parents' death. Of course it was the sign that made the costume... everybody laughed when they read it.

dress in all one color and put a leaf on a hat. when they ask you what you are sayi'm a leaf blower see(blow up).
