Ive had one for years They are very important as well as smoke detectors. Its amazing how many homes Ive been in (working construction, that do not have one especial in the furnace room they could also be usful in the garage.

Required by law in Massachusetts. I have one on every level of the house and in each sleeping area. They are hardwired together and integrated with the smoke detectors.

no need in my place. there are no carbon monoxide producing items here.stove is electric and the heat is by hot water.
