A plane has set a bearing of S60ºE at 600mph, but there is a wind blowing in the direction of N45ºE at 80mph. What is the resultant speed and direction of the plane?....can anyone tell me how you would solve this?

Just add up the vectors. 600(cos (-30deg)x + sin (-30deg)y) + 80 (cos (45deg)x + sin (45deg)y). O degrees is straight East.
