I live in one - a very benevolent spirit resides with me and my daughter. Only shows herself every now and again (scares the beejesus out of me when it happens). About 3 owners ago an elderly lady died here (natural causes - nothing bloody or tragic) She stops in to check on the place every now and again. Didn't really know what was going on until I talked to a neighbor who's been around for about 23 years. I told her I thought I saw an elderly lady in a nightgown with her hair pulled up in a bun and my neighbor told me about the lady that lived and died here. It's kind of nice to know someone is watching over the place.

Yes, my Grandmother's house. It was haunted by my Grandfather. He committed suicide by hanging himself in an apple tree. He was found by one of my uncles.
After his death, you would hear him walking up the stairs, footsteps and stairs creaking, a door upstairs would open and close and no one would be in the room. My cousin would be talking and when my aunt asked who he was talking to, no one was there, he said, "Grampa". He was only 3-4 years old, at the time.
Grampa's chair would rock, all by itself and his dog would bark and wag it's tail, at the same time, every day, when it was time for Grandpa to come home from work.
There have been a lot of unusual happenings that went on in the house and every family member has at least one to tell about.
Personally, I've heard the doors open and close, I've seen the way the dog behaved and the chair rocking. I honestly believe that Grampa haunts the house and is still haunting it today. I have a cousin, who lives there now and she says he's still there.

Yes, when I was a kid we all went to the camp and when the adults went to sleep, we the kids snuck off into the woods to smoke and it started raining so we started running along the tree line and we came to this abounded house so we ducked inside, we light our smokes and then we started hearing noises and it sounds like chants coming from the upstairs, so we snuck up the stairs ever so slowly and then we seen a dim light coming from one of the rooms, so we snuck up a little closer and boy did we start screaming and running for our lives, why it seem the KKK was having a meeting what a night, just imagine that at 10 & 11if you can
And kid don't smoke

Absolutley ! I have been in a large older home that had spirits lurking in it. A "sensitive" person will feel these vibes,,,,my experience was positive , thank goodness! I think the spirit just loved the house she had lived in for 30-40 years and the beautiful gardens she took loving care to grow, she wasn't ready to leave it.
