Tell the truth, and look for good bargains on refrigerators, and I have seen factory seconds and chipped floor models for $200.00
I live in Massachusetts, so i figure if I can find it for $200.00 any one else in the country can.
But, screw the uncle, how about your own food storage safety??? You need even a small one for meat, eggs and milk.
Try Walmart. Good luck!

Tell them you are welcome to come and visit but all we have is spoiled food. So bring food, dry ice and a cooler if you are planning to stay for awhile.

Ask them to bring a refrigerator with them. Or just tell them your problem, them might have some ideas.
