I've noticed a lot of anti-French sentiment on this forum. Is it relating to the French opposition to military action in Iraq?
It's hardly foolish to not want to fight if the UN finds no WMD is it?
3000 French families won't be missing a family member this Christmas will they?
Are there logical reasons for your hatred, or is this just sour grapes and bigotry?

Sour grapes...haha thats a good one. But to answer your question is mainly just bigotry against a people who dont have the courage to stand up for people who cant stand up for themselves. Lets get past WMD's. How about a dictator who kills his own people? And no its not foolish to not want to fight if the UN finds no WMD, its selfish in this case. So sit there on your behind sipping on your sour grapes while someone else steps up to do what needs done. If the world had to wait on the UN to accomplish anything nothing would get done.

Europeans have a protracted complicated background with France. The French as quickly as tried to in actuality take over the completed continent and almost succeded in doing so. The French stored the British from transforming into a member of the ecu many years in the past (via vetoing club for Britian) and the French and the Germans are vying for who wil be the dominant u . s . a . in the ecu. French attitudes and concepts each and every so often rub different worldwide places the incorrect way. France has long resented the reality that the U.S. is the dominant and unquestioned chief of the Western powers. The U.S. resents the reality that France is complicated to get alongside with and would not desire to "toe the line" while it consists of particular subject concerns. case in point, in the 60's, France withdrew their forces from Nato command or perhaps at the instant needs a ecu military tension (which might seem to 3 to make Nato out of date). France additionally has a background of merchandising weapons to those that Britain and the U.S. see as unfavourable international locations.

Well, those with limited brain power thought that the French, who have a lot of experience dealing with people from the middle east and near east, wer acting against the U.S. by not participating in Bush's hare-brained war mongering.
When it turned out that not only did he have no idea what he was getting into, but had lied to get support from congress and the U.N., that meant that France was right and we were in the wrong. Very few people with small brains are able to forgive the sin of someone else having been right when they were wrong. Remember that these are the same types that are wife-beaters and child-molesters, the ones who always blame somebody else. That's part of the reason they will never admit to having acted stupidly, and will continue to make up reasons out of whole cloth why we should "stay the course"..
What?
We aren't?
Whe we should continue to do what was formerly known as "Stay the course" or else not, depending on the polls that we never pay attention to that show our forked tail caught in a crack...

France always gets bailed out of trouble by the US WWI WWII, Vietnam. And they never help americans out in their time of need. French people also lose lots of wars, while americans for the most part win most of the armed conflicts that they are in.
On a side note, i was visiting the coit tower in San Francisco when this french boy about the age of 15 was on a class field trip reached into my back pocket, i thought he was trying to steal something but he just started reaching towards me again and again until it felt very awkward and somewhat gay. I wanted to smack that kid in the face, before that respected the french to a degree, but that isolated incident makes me wary of the French.

No, its due to the fact that the elitist liberals (Billary was one of em) have aligned themselves with the french form of thinking because they feel it lends to them an air of culture. We have our own culture, its called we have to do whats right for our country, not the french. Plus, I get real tired of every-time we want to take action as a country, the french basically put a stick in our eye at every turn, its annoying!

Well said.
Some people (including the President) can't admit mistakes, failures or weakness disguised as strength, and have to find someone else to blame it on. Enter the French who were, after all, right about WMD's, Iraq's non-existent links to Al Queda, etc.
Unfortunately, we can't fix our problems until we admit to them.

Anybody that hates anybody usually hates everybody.
Historical accuracy is also not a priority for some, obviously.
Anyway, I love French people. I'm married to one.

there smart wussies, Iraq is dumb
but historically they are weak
the VIchy government is a prime example
they not only refused to fight the nazis they welcomed them in
and then ran away in africa. then went back to africa after we and the english did the dirty work
then the have the odasity to talk crap to us, at least we stood up to fascim, even though it had nothing to do with us. the french supported hitler, fully.
if you didn't know the persecuted jews holding hands with hitler
not to say jews are the best people.
and see i don't just hate the french, i just hate people who do bad things. it's just logic, nothing personal.
also french immigrants " what the hell"
france needs to get there poop together
if say i'm a biggot well i'd respond by saying your ignorant.
do some research unless your affraid you'll find i'm right
how do you say "coward" in Fransay

Hate is such a strong word. I don't hate the French. I think some of their government's decisions are moronic. Environmentally speaking they're retarded. Thank you very much 'froggies' for setting off a big bomb in my backyard. I think they would choke on their croissants if Australia did nuclear testing anywhere near them. Bob Hawke said it best - "The French are bastards."
