mine is richie sexson, a 6'8 firstbaseman for the seattle mariners. the reason i like him is he always looks like he is having fun, its not just about winning for him, its just about playing the game and being the best he can be. he kind of reminds me of the way ken griffey jr acted when he was still in seattle

Mark Lemke, yeah I know he doesn't play anymore and is an announcer for the Braves but he's always been my favorite player.

Growing up watched him play for the Braves in the early years of their 14 year streak and modeled my play style after him. I gave up Center Field so I could be a Second baseman like him, just like him I might as well have worn a uniform made of dirt because I was always diving for balls and trying to stretch base hits by sliding. Only thing he could do that I couldn't is switch hit, only thing I could do better than him was steal bases.

He probably won't make the Hall of Fame but he'll always be my first baseball hero and my favorite player.

Robin Yount. I grew up in the late 70's and 80's and followed the Brewers passionately. Yount was a rare player - he was able to play his entire career with one team. He was able to adapt to a new position later in his career (moved from SS -->OF) and won AL MVP in both positions 1982/1989. When Yount hit a home run, he calmly ran the bases with class and acknowledged how it helped the team win. He didn't stand at home plate and watch it and then strut around the bases and thump his chest afterward. He would sign autographs before every game. He became the face of the entire franchise and a good will ambassador to baseball. He is something players today could only wish they were. He is in the Hall of Fame and had 3,000 hits. Enough said! Go Rockin Robin. Go Brewers!

I think Jose Reyes is one of the most valuable players in baseball. He's the future of the Mets along with David Wright. Reyes is exciting to watch and has such a entertaining personality (ever seen those home run celebrations in the dugout?.) I've had him on my fantasy team the past 2 years so that influences my decision as well.

Mine would probably be Josh Beckett, Boston Red Sox, formally of the Florida Marlins.

You gotta like a young guy, with great stuff, that competes every day.

He really has the ability to be one of the best pitchers in the majors (i am not a big enough fan to actually think he is at this stage)

Derek Jeter, hands down. The captain of the Yankees has lead the team to World Series championships and maybe Division wins. He is a great defensive player and a great clutch hitter. You can't go wrong with Derek Jeter!

David Wright. Because he is a good player and because finally there is a Mets player that can take the attention away from the Yankees. All time favorite player - Robin Ventura.

My favorite player is Pudge Rodriguez. I wish he would come back to my Texas Rangers. He is my favorite player because he has been the best player at his position for the last 15 years. He is one of the best of all time. He is a true leader.

Trevor Hoffman. Even though I'm a Giants fan I really like seeing and/or hearing when he pitches. It was also pretty exciting when he broke Lee Smith's all-time save record.! Barry Bonds is probably my favorite hitter especially when he brakes the all time home run record next season (hopefully)!

My current favorite is Albert Pujols. He is relatively unstoppable, despite the rather ordinary World Series he just had. Just look at his career numbers below - plus, he used to play a few different positions his first couple of seasons, and that wasn't any kind of distraction for him at the plate.

in my opinion my favorite player is Barry Zito. The dude is an awesome pitcher with a nasty curve ball. plus he has a good demeanor towards the game. I like a bunch of other players too..
