im gonna quote myself on this
" i do
marijuana was put here to be consumed just like eveything else why does the govenrment get to use it all? what do you think happens to all the marijuana they confiscate it doesnt get 'disposed' of it get locked in a room in washington for future consumption why is it that we cant buy a joint but they will gladly force a cigarrette on us because the cigarette company is in just like the oil companies with the government the first hybrid cars were imports and the so called all american cars didnt turn hybrid until late last year why oil comps. pay royalties to the white house
cigarretes were on the market for centuries even to minors when it first started to boom but now we know of the dangers so the government loosened their ties with them.
its the whole system they will sell us newly developed drugs that didnt even make it past the experimentational stage just to make a few quick bucks in revenue and taxes and they know that if they legalize weed they wont have enough of a supply to sell and that by doing so they wont make a profit dont trust this system we arent old enough to buy beer but they think we are old enough to die for oil ever since kennedy nothing good has ever happened except wi-fi absinthe and the dolar cheeseburger at macdonalds
this world sucks im gonna go back disney world mickey mouse is the smartest world leader ive seen in a long time
something else the government wants you to think that open your eyes people money is the real leader money is the one thing that buys people and can make whole countries crumble why do you think dick wasnt convicted on his little hunting accident MONEY " end quote

Absolutely yes!
The link in one of the above answers has some good information for those who want an education.
The real reason it isn't legal, they haven't figured a way to make money exclusively from it, too many people can grow it them selves.
It should definitely be decriminalised for medicinal purposes.

yes it is no more harmful than alcohol or ciggerettes. I think the only reason they don't is that they don't have a quick way to measure thc in the blood stream, like they do for alcohol. It would just about be immpossible to control tokin and drivin. But i still say yes.
I bet they argued like this about alcohol back in the days of prohibition. We are all not a bunch drunks soo......... it goes to show most won't be hardcore stoners.

multiple human beings have reported 'with a prescription', yet that's not genuine, precisely. docs are actually not allowed to prescribe pot. they are in a position to in easy terms 'advise' it. there's a form you are able to receive and get your healthcare expert to sign, and then while you're carrying this form you are able to own as much as eight ouncesof pot. Pot is offered in some espresso homes that are additionally registered with the state. And there are inner maximum companies issuing photograph id enjoying cards to help perceive you as somebody who has the applicable to purchase pot. there's a community in Oakland called 'Oaksterdam' that has the places the place pot is offered, additionally training in starting to be, etc. My GF has been by way of this technique. She has maximum cancers and is having chemotherapy (actual she's doing o.k., thank God). She have been given the form signed, have been given an id card, and has offered pot some circumstances. that's sturdy pot too, and extremely particularly priced. i think of it fairly facilitates her. Pot remains unlawful on the federal point, and infrequently the DEA is presented in and closes down the espresso homes. however the state won't prosecute us. in certainty many cities in California have desperate to no longer waste police and courtroom time on minor marijuana offenses.

yes, because people who wanna smoke it still do it... so, why not legalize it? government will not only be controlling it, but also able to tax it... I feel like it's a personal choice... for alcohol being legal, it doesn't mean everyone drinks it... Freedom... isn't that what U.S. stands for? I love Amsterdam... i was there this summer...

surely. the government is making so much money on it being illegal, that's why they fight it. they spend billions of our money and catch 1% of the druggies. what a stupid bunch of people in washington, d.c. if they would sell it, so much to a customer, they would save thousands of millions by not having all the police they pay. it is proven it is very good cure for most illness, including cancer. by selling it, they could undercut the drug dealers and put them down the tube the easy way, lol....
