He is a very intelligent man, and may very well be the democratic super star that is needed, but he is a bit young and inexperienced for the job in 08. He was on Face the Nation last Sunday and said he would set down after this election and decide whether he would run for the presidency in 08. He already has the notice of the repuglican hate machine as you will see in some of the answers that you get.

No, I think he needs to run now while he is still at top. The next chance to run will be 2012, and he'll either have to overcome the current president (if republican) and if a democrat is elected in he has no chance because the Democrat president will run for re-election. And so, in 8 years, he may not still be the popular/same Barrack Obama.

1. He hasn't got enough experience - good God, he's only been in the Senate 2 years.
2. He hasn't introduced any significant legislation - the Republicans would have a blast!
3. He needs to serve as vice president under the Democratic president we'll elect in 2008. After 8 years, he'll definitely be ready. And just think - 16 years of peace and prosperity!!!

Barack Obama is a great politician in that he can energize the party and get young people concerned with their country. However, if he were to run, I would not vote for him. He is too green. I'd at least like to see him serve one full term. Maybe one and a half.

He should run in the primary, where he'll lose just to gain the name recognition nationwide. He might get the VP slot which will set him up in the future.

A black might be elected president if he is a conservitive republican. Otherwise a snowball in hell has a better chance.
