I am 25 with 2 healthy boys and I want to be a egg donor or a surrogate mother. I have looked into both and even filled out the application to be a donor. Honestly my reasoning for both is the money. Is this wrong? My husband would rather have me donate eggs but for the right price (to get our life back on track) I would have no problem being a surrogate.

Oh My Gosh.
If you donate your eggs, those will be YOUR KIDS. Could you live knowing that you have kids and grandkids in this world that biologically are yours?..As far as being a surrogate mother, if you can really handle 9 months of pregnancy for a baby that you will have to give immeditaely after you give birth?? I think there must be a better way to make money. Tell your husband to get a 2nd job instead of telling you to sell your eggs!

Your idea is good but your heart is in the wrong place. Donating eggs and being a surrogate is a very time consuming process. have you looked into what all is involved with it? And also you need to ask yourself, can you honestly abstain from all of the things that are bag during pregnancy. Even if you donate your eggs you cannot drink or smoke or do drugs and take medications. There is a whole list of things. can you be sure that since you are only doing it for money that you will stay away from all of these things. If you cannot then you need to seek other alternatives for "getting your life back on track"

I have thought about it before too. however, my husband says absolutly not. I think that it is great that you want to help others that want children, to have a child of their own. I know that others may say it is wrong to do it for the money, but it sure is a good amount of money! but I feel that deep down, you would not even consider it if it was just a money issue, you are risking a lot to do it. I mean having a child take a lot out of you, not to mention your bodyshape. if it is just egg donations, that is still a big risk too. Even if you are mainly doing it for the money, The joy you would be bringing to some one elses life. You know what its like to have a child and there is so many families that cant have their own. Just donate your eggs if it will cause problems in your marriage though. No amount of money is worth losing your husband.

It is very hard on your body but kind of a cool experience (donation). It will definitely affect your sex life and could cause some tension with your husband but will definitely be worth it, financially speaking. Try www.dreamdonations.com.

I am 23 years old and me and my husband have tried to have a baby for way over 4 years now and we still can't have a baby so we looked into everything and adoption and surragates cost between 10,000 - 100,000 dollars its like you have to be rich to be able to do anything like that in order to have a baby. If I could do it I wouldn't be de doing it for money I would do it just for the couples out there that just can't have a child at all and they dserve to have a child I would do it for free. We are still wishing to find a surrogate or to find someone that is cosidering adoption for their child so that we can be able to know what it is that everyone else has that has children because we will never know what it is like to have a child of our own or have what everyone else has that has kids we want to know what it is like to be parents. We want the feeling of having a child. So Think about what I said. Who knows you might be an angel sent from God to help couples like us that can never have kids you could be the angel that can help couples have a chance of knowing what it feels like to be parents and have that excitement and love and happiness in their lives and you could be a couples last hope to be able to have children you could be the one that gives them hope thast they could be parents.

It is not wrong. You are still doing something for someone that cannot do for themselves. You do deserve a monetary reward for your time/product. I have heard though, the procedure to harvest eggs can be painful. To start, call a local fertility clinic. I am sure they will have the information you will need.

I would say no, it's not wrong. If you enjoy being pg and the thought that you're helping another couple fulfill thier dream, then the money would just be icing on the cake. However, if your husband isn't for it, then there might be a problem. Good luck!
